Treat Atmosphere, Contents & Structure Simultaneously

Vaportek's unique odor-control systems employ proprietary compounds of select natural oils that are hermetically sealed into specially formed membranes. The membranes permit the oils to breathe through the surface of the envelope, allowing a "dry vapor" to be diffused into the air.

When the molecules of the Vaportek compounds volatize into the air, they react with the odor-producing elements of the odorous molecules, neutralizing or making them inactive by their interaction. With its high mobility in air and the ability to penetrate porous substances such as wallboard, wood, carpeting, cement, insulation and other surfaces, the "dry vapor" technology is able to permanently neutralize imbedded odors.

You Won't See Warnings Like These About Vaportek Products!

• Only qualified, trained employees should be involved in the setup of an ozone treatment or in the ventilating and testing that ensures reduction to safe levels before the structure is reoccupied.
• Brief insured about ozone characteristics and the importance of not exposing people or animals to the high levels of ozone present during treatment.
• Place appropriate safety signs on all entry points. Make sure that people, animals (especially birds and possibly fish) are removed from the airspace to be treated. Certain types of plants may be "burned" by ozone. Natural rubber is damaged by ozone.
• Use of ozone in an overly damp environment can cause the formation of hydrogen peroxide and resultant bleaching of sensitive textiles or leathers.
• When re-entering structure, wear a properly maintained NIOSH-approved Organic Vapor Respirator. Turn off or unplug ozone generator and leave structure for 10-15 minutes...
• Re-enter structure (wearing OV respirator), open all possible doors and windows and ventilate thoroughly for a minimum of 30-60 minutes. Use fans and other equipment to ensure rapid and turbulent air movement during the ventilation process...

• Be sure to evacuate the area prior to fogging.
• Application personnel should wear respiratory protection.
• All fires, open flames and similar sources of ignition shall be eliminated from the space utilizing flammable fumigants... when utilizing flammable fumigants, electricity shall be shut off except circulating fans may be used provided such equipment does not create an ignition hazard.
• It is imperative to inform the fire department or other local authorities before fogging; as the extremely small particles and smoke-like appearance of the escaping fog might result in panic in the area, and the summoning of the fire department needlessly.
• Post "Danger" signs after fogging to meet legal requirements, reduce the risk of injury, and provide emergency information, phone numbers, etc...
